We are taking a guess and thinking that Richard's two mentions of "Crucifix' in his diary may refer to the same painting that was in the 1943 Redfern show under the name "Crucifixion". Or maybe they are two separate works?
1942: Crucifix, 6ish x10 31-03-43: Crucifix (6 and a half x 10in)
