The French Gallery, 11 Berkeley Square, London
Lest the recent conversion of part of the premises to other uses should suggest otherwise, it may be well to say, that the French Gallery, directed by Mssrs. Wallis and Son, is still carried on at 11, Berkley Square, together with the connections of the old Goupil gallery, as conducted by Mrs Marchant. Both these institutions have such honourable histories that it would be a great pity if it were supposed that they had ceased to exist.
The premises reserved for exhibition are on the second floor, consisting of three rooms, which, though they are not very large, are adequate for exhibitions of a more intimate kind. At the moment they are occupied by a small but representative collection of contemporary English paintings, drawings and sculpture, including works by Mr. Richard Sickert, Mr. John Nash, Mr. Eric Gill, Mr. Richard Eurich, Mr. Ian Campbell-Gray, and Miss Nadia Benois. Early in November there is to be a one-man show of small sculptures and drawings by Mr. Eric Gill.
