The Lovelocks knew Richard and his family from the early 1920s. Both families lived in Ilkley. Prior Lockwood was a master at Bradford Grammar School at the same time as Richard studied there. He and Queenie encouraged Richard's painting from the beginning, buying several works through the 1920s and 30s.
This is a list of works we think they owned, made from notes in Richard's sales diary. They may have bought others which Richard did not record.
