"Oil paintings formed an important section of the exhibition and outstanding amongst these was a series of pictures by Mr. R. Eurich, son of Dr. F. W. Eurich, of Ilkley. He is an artist of very genuine promise. He interprets his conceptions with a boldness, strength and vigour altogether remarkable. His most ambitious picture was 'The Crucifixion' carried out in the manner of the old masters, whilst in some of his smaller sea pictures there was clear evidence of cubist influence."
