On the back of the frame of "Negro Wedding" there are some Old Harry references: " RICHARD EURICH OLD HARRY ROCKS, SWANAGE 50gns"; and label from Bradford Artists Exhibitiion 1951 loan number 923. We suppose that both paintings inhabited the frame at different times at some point.

We are assuming that the title 'Sketch of Old Harry Rocks', means a painted sketch. We also assume that the sketch below (9.5 x 14 cm) is a pencil sketch for the painted sketch.
