The Dreamer (Study)

1946

61 x 76.2 cm

Unknown collection (see timeline)

This study was exhibited with the much smaller version of The Dreamer at the Redfern Gallery in 1949. RE records in his diary: "Dreamer in Cornfield, larger version…. lost by Rex Nan Kivell" [owner of the Redfern]. But he also records the study version as sold in 1951 in his sales diary, so we can perhaps assume that it was eventually found.
