. . . I am not a particular collector of art . . . [but] I was drawn to it because I am a hobby sailor and sail a lot on the Solent; the two small sailing boats against the looming tankers were perfectly captured. It was as simple as that, really. A lovely picture of a familiar scene. . . . a no fuss picture, which just captures the moment simply but so truly. I half expect to see the tankers moving on as I look and the sailboats weaving away, but of course, it’s just a snapshot.
