The Black Cat

1983

This is the view from the kitchen at ‘Appletreewick’ through the hatch to the dining room. The cat often sat on the table regardless of whether there was food around. The brilliant front garden full of bright flowers was just outside the window making the kitchen feel rather dark in comparison.

PB

In his sales diary, Richard notes the cat's name as 'William'.
