It is fairly rare for Dad to paint the cars which habitually crowd the beach car-park at Lepe. Here he has adopted an unrealistically high view-point which helps to separate out the assembly of gaily-coloured vehicles. It seems likely that people have come to watch the yacht races during Cowes Week, taking place on the Solent between Lepe and the Isle of Wight.
