Farne Islands Northumberland The North anchored cliffs communications masts fishing boat lighhouse sail trawlers

Richard went to Seahouses and the Farne Islands in Northumbria in the mid 1960s to work on a commission for the Shell calendar. This wild coast also inspired several other paintings, several of which were done many years after his visit in 1964.
