Warm Day

1975

Looking through Richard's painting photos we found, side by side, two photographs titled " A Family", both done in 1975, and both on 10x12in board. We discovered that one of them had been helpfully re-titled Warm Day. However we are still not that we can be totally confident that we have separated their provenance correctly. See the another 'A Family' (1975) here.

Later a collector introduced us to a third one  - A Family (1989).

Also not to be confused with The Family (1929).

There is note of humour in the painting, partly created by Richard's occasional use of the edges to cut off parts of people and objects in the picture. See below.
