The fish in his tank on the windowsill survived for many years. We experimented with giving him a companion but he ate it! The Epstein Head of Enver usually stood on the mantelpiece in the sitting room. The tureen later sat on a sort of trolley in the hall where it was accidentally smashed and painstakingly repaired by Richard. The clavichord's evocative sensitive sound fascinated me and the way the colours of its keys was the reverse of most keyboards. The tiny self portrait …
This panoramic view from the interior of RE’s studio includes many familiar things from my childhood. The fish in his tank on the windowsill survived for many years.
