Coast Scene with Rainbow

1952-53

RE diary, 1 May 1953

I had so hoped to see you at the banquet to tell you how pleased I was to get your letter. I am delighted to have joined you all and count myself v. lucky. I just love your big picture in Room X and would like to hear how you painted it. Hope we may meet soon. as ever Anthony.

Card sent to Richard by the portrait painter Anthony Devas, on seeing 'Coast Scene with Rainbow' at the 1953 RA Summer Exhibition.
