This painting was also included in the exhibition Art and the Sea in 1981-82. It was initially at one of a number of regional shows, in this case at Southampton Art Gallery, Sept. 3rd to Oct. 22nd 1981. It was subsequently included in a cumulative show at the ICA between Jan. 6th and Feb. 7th 1982. Looking back through my copy of the exhibition catalogue, I have only just realised that I had the honour of having one of my own paintings in the same show as Richard Eurich!

Stephen Gregory

Thank you for bringing this exhibiton to our attention, Stephen. We knew of the ICA exhibition, but had no idea which Eurich or Eurich's were shown. Nor did we know that the ICA show was a culmination of a fascinating initiative to stage nine independently curated exhibitions in six cities across the UK and then bring a selection of works from all of them to the ICA. Congratulations on being part of such an ambitious project. See your photo of the Eurich in the 'Art of the Sea' catalogue below.
