Beach Scene, Isle of Wight

1965

Painted the same year as Rainy Day Isle of Wight but such a wild scene! It would be great to see the colour. The very paint seems whipped up to a frenzy but on the other hand yachts are out sailing and little children jumping the waves in what appears to be gale force conditions. The adults are all turned away as if not bothered about whether their offspring are swept out to sea.
